Greetings!  What a great year Logos has experienced this year as over 40 students worked together and competed to sharpen their thinking and speaking skills.  Their were many goals reached by students and coaches this year.  By God's grace we celebrated many first time accomplishments and that's what we want to be about in Logos--pursuing our goals with excellence.  As new families join us this year, that is what I hope you will hear about most from those who will become closer friends--attaining "personal bests" and working hard to learn new things.  We aspire to be about God stretching us to try new things and sharpen us.  Ask anyone in Logos...that takes courage and trust that God's ways are not our own, but they are always best.  Please consider prayerfully your schedules and make sure you have set aside the appropriate time to take on this activity--time spent on speech and debate will look different for each individual family, but make no mistake, it takes a commitment of time to be responsible communicators.  It 's about a lot more than going to socialize at tournaments and club nights (though we have fun doing that!). We ask that you view the opportunity to speak as a privilege--one worthy of sufficient time spent in preparation so as to honor your audience. It's going to be a great year!
